This is one region that occupies a large chunk of Western Australia. It stretches from  Coolgardie and towards the east to the Northern Territory and South Australia states’ boundaries. This is one area that you must ensure before you set out to visit you have enough supplies and water.
There are several things to see and do in the Western Australia Outback region. Some of these are as discussed below.
If you are coming from Perth along the Great Eastern highway, you will find the town on Merredin. In Merredin you will find two museums. One is a locomotive museum and the other is a military museum. There is also a site that made a record in 1999, this is the longest road train a truck that pulled 45 trailers for 8 km and stretched a distance of about 600 kilometers.
On the East side is the Southern Cross where gold was discovered back in 1887. This is was the fist gold mine to be discovered in Western Australia and led to more goldfields in Western Australia that really helped in development of the Western Australia economy. Coolgardie is also a gold mining town though the gold here did not last for long it left the trace of this small town.
the Kalgoorlie-Boulder is another Golfield town. This is one place that has seen the tough times and survived the hardtimes of the Goldfields in Western Australia. It is one busy town that is blends the authenticity of this locality and modern archicture.
In the North there is a little town known as the Broad Arrow. There are very few people who live here. More to the north is the Menzies which is a slightly bigger town than the Broad Arrow. There are several historic buildings to visit in this town. One such place is the Menzies Town Hall.
Further in the north  is the towns of Leonora and Gwalia. Gwalia is the home to the huge Sons of Gwalia Gold Mine. There are other smaller towns around here such as  Kookynie, Malcolm and Niagara.
